A couple of months ago, I was out at dinner with Stonf and B when B told me that she brought me a present. This "present" ended up being a Bunco game set that B had bought on clearance...she informed me that night that she wanted to have a Bunco night with all of our girlfriends, and she wanted ME to host it.
About a month later, I stopped at Michaels to pick up a couple of supplies for a craft I was working on. As I was standing in the checkout line, I noticed that they had some cute party supplies in the dollar bin. I bought favor boxes, cupcake liners, mini frames, cupcake flags, note cards that served as invitations and a notebook all for a dollar each. And with that, our black and yellow spring Bunco party was a go!
We had a ton of good food and drinks at the party...we needed our fuel for a fierce game of Bunco that followed! We had chicken salad and tuna salad croissants which I decorated with the cupcake flags and served on a cake plate...
We also had white pizza dip that I found on Pinterest (which was delicious, btw) and fruit with strawberry dip. B made these adorable dice cupcakes using sugar cubes!
Stonf also made spring sangria which, once again, was found on Pinterest. I have to admit that Stonf walked in with 2 containers full of this stuff and left with a couple of drops left...what can I say, we had a fun night! haha
Once we all finished stuffing our faces, it was time to get serious. None of us had ever played Bunco before, so we had to rely on the directions that came with the game...and the directions that we made up on our own :)
After 6 rounds of Bunco, we had a winner! I picked up a little prize from one of my favorite stores, House 15143. B's sister Stacy was the big winner for the night!
Her prize was a mini chalkboard...the same one that I showed you in this post.
As the girls were leaving for the night, I sent them home with a little treat for the road. I filled the dollar favor boxes with Kettle Corn and Chocolate Peanut Butter Popcorn from Pittsburgh Popcorn Company.
We had so much fun that we may try to make Bunco night a regular occurrence. How about you, have you ever played Bunco?
Bunco is so much fun!!! Played years ago. We played once a month and rotated homes. It is good getting together with your friends.
ReplyDeleteCould you please pass along the white pizza dip recipe? Sounds yummy.

ReplyDeleteI used to play bunco in my younger years, we had silly prizes too! It was a lot of fun! That was the first time I ever had Velveeta with Tomatoes and Green Chilis - yummmmy. I keep thinking I have to ask Bethany how to post on here - maybe it will work this time....
ReplyDeleteAha! It worked! But now you don't know who I am...one clue....Bethany's MIL.
